Lightupnigeria....yes, but the Nigerian musicians are yet to holla it to the rooftops! I believe that is the fastest way to get the old people to know we mean business with this, the re should beseveral anthems and all should have 'lightupnigeria' as a refrain, any aspiring politician who is unable to sing it, give the plans he has to achieve it and show a passion to achieving it should have his presidential/governorship/ministerial/councillorship etc aspirations ducked into Lagos lagoon with immediate effect!

Beautiful write-up! #lightupnigeria is a great initiative and i really hope the campaign can be sustained on a long time basis. We never can tell, something concrete can actually come out of this movement.

Fellow old people, how do we stop those that benefit from NOT #lightupnigeria is a huge challenge. The news that "They have the diesel king over a barrel" via next123, perhaps the big news that is being overshadowed by the Boko Haram madness. Is information like " nothing came close to his recent blockbuster at the ruling People's Democratic Party fund raising event for its secretariat project, where his N1 billion donation took care of 10 percent of the projected cost of the building" in the public domain? Private Public Partnership? How do we fire back? How do we expose more of these info as Forbes.com and others celebrate another African billionaire?

Great post though I dont see this is a 'youth" - there are many who support this campaign who dont fall into that category. It is a Nigerian endeavour and not based on age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation. I never understand this assumption that older people dont use the internet or social media!
