@Beauty - I am not sure whether you mean that Femi Falana speaks rot here or that there were no inflammatory comments at the town hall. From what I have read, it was a very lively event where the participants spoke quite freely to Mrs. Clinton.

"The president of the West Africa Bar Association, Femi Falana, lambasted the World Bank and the IMF for maintaining the underdevelopment of Nigeria and other modern African nation states." is such rot that I wonder where those people pick their lines from. Mrs Clinton "basically lectured us and left. Nothing much there" by @Mulan was simply all the action.

@Mulan - Interesting take from you on Clinton's "lecture." I was under the impression that many Nigerians were hoping for a more strident tone against Yar'Adua and the current administration. I think that she struck a decent balance and was a bit better advised than Obama had been for his Ghana trip.

First off, thank you for taking the time to include my writing in this review.I am very honored.

I have to agree with you that Nigerian politicians probably did not take her trip too seriously. I assume that there was very little need to considering that there is little reason to assume that the Obama administration will be as tough as it has proclaimed on corruption. Especially given Nigeria's oil and the push towards a larger supply of Nigerian sweet crude since Angola is now in bed with the Chinese.

Anyway, time will still tell, and ultimately, Nigerians and those who want the best for the country, will have to find a way to accomplish incredible things despite a less than desirable set of leaders.
