		<description>I agree with some of the views expressed here.

Obviously, one hasn’t read the last on the Muttalab issue. 
It’s ok to wear defensive cloaks and claim that Nigeria isn’t a terrorist nation, even in the face of glaring evidence that the world is not ready to buy whatever excuse we have to counter their media-fed perception that the country is a hotbed of religious violence. We have a record too fraught with such. I have never been to the UK or know the reality of religious tolerance there, but I think it amounts to hasty generalization to conclude that the UK is a cesspit for Islamic extremism. Soyinka’s statement, undoubtedly, is informed by his anger against the enlisting of his country on a terrorist watchfile, not necessarily his anger against the West. I salute his courage. 

Let’s hope the UK will not ask Soyinka to propose a suitable sewage disposal system.
