My name is Damilare Onajole of damilare.net. I am a web developer, internet enterpreneur, and a philosophy student of Lagos State University, Nigeria. I will be taking NigeriansTalk’s reader and other bloggers through an exploration of various blogging tools, tips and techniques. I may also dabble into other areas like Technology and Business.
I started using the computer and internet in 2002, a time when blogging was in its infancy, and I found delight putting up pages on free servers. The love I had for the internet, and my curiosity for how things work got my hands working on HTML 3.2. Ever since then, I have been designing and developing applications for the web.
In 2007, I worked with an Internet Marketing Agency based in UK (Remotely), where I was picked up Search Engine Optimisation (an area crucial for bloggers). After which I had other stints. Right now, I run a very very small but promising Internet Media Solutions firm registered as Meshmedia Services where we make beautiful websites and design internet marketing solutions for businesses, groups, and individuals.
I decided to be a contributor on NigeriansTalk for a couple of reasons. One, I needed to resurrect my dying writing interest. Two, I needed a way into the Nigerian blogging community, and finally, a platform for sharing my internet experiences with those who may benefit from them. I hope this would be as fruitful as I hope.
